Makulu Birders House
Makulu Birders house is situated within the bigger WildsUitvlugt Game farm that is a mere hour’s drive from Pretoria. It boasts a lush garden with some 70 odd indigenous trees, that mostly did not occur on the farm before, established in the garden. The house sleeps 10 and is a self-catering facility, with a beautiful Lapa and lovely porch from where birds in the garden can be spotted at leisure.
Our farm is situated on the doorstep of the Dinokeng nature reserve and the Rust der Winter dam, which are both prime birding spots!
At Makulu, our birding house you can see
Flycatchers, Sunbirds, Shrike’s, Woodpeckers, to mention but a few and at night you can listen to the call of various Nightjars and other Owls.
You have the whole of the farm to walk, drive or go on organised game drives, we also have a smaller gem across the road right on the Elands river where the elusive Finfoot has been spotted.
